They Called Me Dede, a riveting story of one man's journey to Nigeria West Africa. It has been an honor and privilege to edit and publish our Dad's memoir of his call to be a missionary, more specifically, to Nigeria West Africa. This non-fiction story is full of exciting, thought provoking and inspiring events written by Lowell Estes Kennedy, father, husband, mentor, pastor, teacher and missionary. We hope his missionary experiences inspires you to find a new meaning in your own life as you put yourself into this epic journey. May the events written will build a desire for you to discover your call and the ability to accomplish great things you previously thought impossible through Jesus Christ.
Lowell learned many things on his journey and found comfort in this Scripture in Philippians 4: 11-13 - Not that I speak in respect of want; for I have learned in whatsoever state I am therein to be content. I know both how to be abased and I know how to abount. Everywhere and in all things, I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
