most important decision to make
To know and be known by God is the most important thing in our lives that can lead to the most meaningful relationship in our lives - a relationship over any other that we will ever encounter. No matter how good we try to be, we still fall short of God's perfect standard. God says we all have sinned and the penalty of sin is death. Not just our physical death here, but eternal death. There is nothing we can do to repay our sin debt. No good work, no good deed, nothing. For our good works and self righteousness are as filthy rags to God's perfection. But God, in his great love and kindness to His creation from the very beginning gave hope. That hope of a Savior who willingly left His heavenly throne - Word of God made flesh. He exemplified strength in His humility by becoming a servant and He walked among us being tempted and tested as we. He laid down His life at the cross to pay our sin debt for us. He was, is and always will be that perfect, timeless, great God of Salvation . . . Jesus The Christ! May today be the day of your salvation and new life in Christ.
God answers our questions about life and death. He is the only one who can save us to a faith that works, to reveal our purpose, to give us eternal life with Him. Think & Consider what God says...
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:10 There is none righteous. No, not one."
Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Matter of Urgency - The clock is ticking. This decision will determine your final destination eternally - heaven or hell. God tells us:
1 John 2:17 that the world is passing away along with its desires. But whoever does the will of God remains forever.
God tells us: None of us are guaranteed our next breath or heartbeat and without Jesus, we are dead in our sins and appointed to wrath.
What are we to do? Who then can be saved?
Here's the Good News, the Gospel that tells us how we can be saved from this eternal death.
1 Corinthians 15:2-4 by this gospel (good news) you are saved, if you hold fast to the Word proclaimed to you; otherwise you have believed in vain. How that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; that He was buried, and that He was raised the third day according to the Scriptures.
How? It is as simple as A, B, C; yet Step A is the hardest for us to come to.
A is to ADMIT that in and of ourselves, we can do nothing which leads us to a godly sorrow and repentant heart. A turning around in direction back to God.
B is to BELIEVE. But this word is more than just a head acknowledgement. It is an active FAITH, whereby we place our whole confidence in His finished work at the cross - His death, burial and resurrection in victory and look towards that Day Of Christ Appearing - our Blessed Hope.
C is to then CONFESS Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives.
This brings a rebirth of our spirit with God's Holy Spirit who will change us from the inside out!
NOW is the day of salvation . . .
When?
2 Corinthians 6:2 For He [Yahweh] says, "In the time of favor I heard you and in the day of salvation I helped you." Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!
