OUR BORDERS [within and without]:

The Invisible War – Our Invisible Armor: As we observe increasing wars and rumors of wars as foretold in Matthew 24 being fulfilled with greater frequency and intensity, it can lead many to fear and anxiety about the future. We must realize that behind these ‘visible’ wars is a very real ‘invisible war’. As such, when we read our daily news from the Word of God and focus on biblical promises rather than the barrage of ‘visible’ daily news, we can rest in the peace of our Blessed Hope. For God has told us what would be before it happens, revealing to us the ‘rest of the story’ as Paul Harvey would say.

This expounds on my last “special message” regarding standing firm in our faith, standing firm in the Truth. We indeed are here for such a time as this. We need to have the same mind that Esther had in her day, uttering this famous proclamation, “If I perish, I perish,” and the same mind Paul also had when he wrote, “To live is Christ, to die is gain.”

Paul used symbols to contrast our spiritual mindset from our earthly one, like urging us to run the race for our heavenly rewards, much like athletes run to obtain the gold medal. Another is to prepare for battle, for spiritual battle. This is through the description of our ‘invisible armor’ - the Armor of God.

Let’s look closer at God’s ‘invisible armor’ so that we can stand firm in our faith and fight the good fight in His might and power against this ‘invisible war’ around us. For we fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, just as God through Paul tells us in Ephesians 6:12. This ‘invisible war’ we fight with God’s spiritual armor; therefore, it is good to reinforce this message based on Ephesians 6:10-20 as it relates to equipping us for battle and to encourage you to read it in full context, so that you can rest assured as you fix your eyes on the prize – our Blessed Hope of Resurrection and being where Jesus is.

Armor Up With The WORD!

How do we get this Armor of God? We first must be born again, and God equips us in the Word of God written – the Holy Scriptures given! When we listen, read, and learn what is written, we are communicating with God and God with us through His Spirit. This is putting on and firming up the Armor of God in us and on us. Without engaging in the Word, we can’t truly know God, nor can we truly be equipped with His Armor. Every piece outlined is a reflection of God’s defense against the ‘invisible’ enemy in this ‘invisible war’.

1. The Belt of Truth holds all the pieces of God’s Armor together. We must come to faith first by knowing the Truth, which only comes by the Word of God, through Jesus, the Christ. God has set the standard of what Truth is.

  • John 14:6 Jesus said unto him, “I AM the Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

  • John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We beheld His glory, the glory as of the only Begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth.

  • John 8:32 And you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free.

  • Isaiah 11:5 Righteousness will be the belt around His loins [hips] and Faithfulness the sash around His waist.

2. Isaiah 11:5 is a perfect tie-in to the belt of Truth with the Breastplate of Righteousness, which protects our hearts. Knowing the Word of God and obeying it, putting it into practice in our daily living, keeps us from sin. It kills the fleshly desires and defeats the enemy through the work of the Holy Spirit of God in us. It also connects to our spiritual growth and the Fruit of the Spirit that He produces in us.

  • Romans 6:13 Do not present the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but yield yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life and the members of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness.

  • Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the Light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on the Breastplate of faith and love, and the helmet of salvation.

3. Feet Fitted With Preparation of the Gospel of Peace signifies more than just movement. It represents humility and devotion for believers while serving as a judgment for nonbelievers. As believers, we walk in this Gospel of Peace and stand firm in it through our faith in Christ Jesus. Our lives become a testimony as our actions are observed by both those in our lives, and yes, it’s true – by those spiritual beings as well. As we deepen our relationship with God through His Word, our walk in faith becomes more evident, preparing us to answer those who ask about our faith.

  • Romans 10:15 And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” [See also Isaiah 52:7]

  • Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

  • Mark 6:10-11 If any place will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust which is under your feet, for a testimony against them.

4. The Shield of Faith, an absolute necessity in our armor. Christ Jesus is said to be the Author and Finisher [Perfecter] of our faith. The Word of God is essential for protecting and strengthening our spiritual shield of faith.

  • Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.

  • 1 John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith!

  • Romans 10:17 So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God [of Christ].

  • Hebrews 11:6 But without faith, it is impossible to please God. For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

5. The Helmet of Salvation is of utmost importance and is an absolute necessity to being equipped with all the armor. Without receiving this gift of grace through faith, we cannot know God or be known by Him. We are left defenseless.

  • Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you are saved, not of yourselves. It is a gift of God, not of works, lest any should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has preordained for you to walk in them.

  • 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas [Peter], then by the twelve. After that, He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that, He was seen by James, the by all the apostles. Then last of all, He was seen by me also, as by one born our of due time.

6. The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is our defense and offensive weapon. Paul compares it to a ‘machaira’ or a ‘gladius’, a short sword, dagger-like, which was carried by soldiers in close combat to be used with swift precision. This weapon was hidden on the belt or a shoulder strap, just as we are commanded to keep the Word of God hidden in our hearts so we can use this weapon also with swift precision in close-up combat in the ‘invisible war’. A good example of how it is used effectively was given to us by Jesus Himself when He was driven into the desert after being baptized and tempted by the devil. He always responded to the tempter, “It is written…”

  • Hebrews 4:12: For the Word (Logos) of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even as far as the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

  • Matthew 10:34: Jesus states, "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword." [This may perplex many as Jesus is called the Prince of Peace, but it isn’t a contradiction. Jesus is revealing the conflict between those who believe in Him and those who don’t. Context is very important here.]

7. Prayer in the Spirit and staying alert are crucial for our defense in this spiritual battle. Rooted in His strength, prayer becomes powerful and helps us achieve victories through constant communication with God. I’ve experienced this firsthand after watching “The War Room” starring Priscilla Shirer, which I highly recommend. Additionally, praying and singing scripture can enhance our prayer life.

  • Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplications for all saints.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Praying without ceasing.

  • Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

  • 1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore, be clear-minded and sober, so that you can pray.

This is how we fight in the ‘invisible war’. Do not neglect the reading and hearing of the Word of God, nor the hiding of it in your heart and mind, nor the power of prayer! Standing firm in a dark world through the power of His glorious Light!

PROPHECY IN DAILY HEADLINES:

Bible prophecy continues to be visible in our daily news. Peter Thiel, a conservative tech billionaire and the Bilderberg Group’s most prominent member, shared his thoughts on prophecies, suggesting that fear would be a powerful weapon for the Antichrist to use. Thiel speculated, “If the Antichrist were to come to power, it would be by talking about Armageddon all the time.” Fear indeed is what will drive most people to accept the “mark of the beast”. God tells us this final Antichrist will portray himself initially as a ‘messenger of light’ promoting ‘peace and security’, boasting of great things, all the while chaos ensues around the world. This chaos is a created chaos to drive that fear – fear of war, of disease, and death, while on the other hand, promising miraculous cures and wonders. This final Antichrist will come in riding on a white horse holding a bow without arrows, to establish a one-world order marked by surveillance that no one will be able to escape. Our only hope is in Jesus, and those who turn from the truth to believe the coming lie will face judgment for their choices, including individuals like Thiel if they do not turn to Christ.

COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT...

Last Generation: Two years ago, Jared Kushner stated that he prioritized exercise, believing advancements in medical science might allow him to “live forever.” He suggested he could be part of the “last generation that’s going to die.” Coincidence? I think not! I also believe we are the “last generation” as the prophetic convergence unfolds before us at warp speed, in this, the last second of the last hour of history. This belief is indeed due to the current technological and medical advancements as they align perfectly with prophecies related in Revelation 13 [the beast and its ‘mark’]; as well as in Revelation 17- 18 [Mystery Great Babylon]. All that is needed is for God to remove the “restrainer”. What’s next? The catching away of the saints, the beast system enacted, and the man of lawlessness revealed, and the mark of the beast forced on all to buy and sell. Will it come through a great shaking of war or peace? Yes. Listen to JD Farag’s message to understand that answer. True immortality is granted only to those who have faith and accept the gift of God through Jesus Christ. However, those who reject the truth will experience their immortality not through technology and medical wonders, but through the second death in outer darkness and hell.
